Lol I've always been fascinated with lighting back as far as I can remember I just didn't realise there were others like me with the same unusual interest!
|
|

There no reason they shouldn`t be on line, a car has a make and model, and they have photos of them, the same as a lantern.

@Kev: Same thing for me.. even as a kid I loved lights (back then it was only christmas lights & fluorescents. I never really paid attention to streetlights except when they came through and replaced all the nice MV lanterns with HPS/SON..I didn't like the orange colour at all. First time I ever saw SOX I figured they were some sorta yellow fluorescent, and wanted one)

Yeh it was the kitchen crompak that did it for me the random flashing and then sometimes there would be an even longer delay and it just interested me. We always had sox outside Infact when I was growing up everything was sox main roads there was 4 HPS in the whole of my county

I only just remember our MV street lighting, I remember walking home from school on the day the SOX were mass installed, looking up in awe at the `new` top entry beta 5s, I spent many a night watching SOX warm up!

I never got the pleasure of watching SOX warm up since they never existed in my area (only time I ever saw them was on an out of state trip). Now that I have a SOX of my own & have seen the startup on them...I can say they have the best of any other type!
