Vintage lantern & column Induction conversion.
There are loads of these old cast iron columns with old lanterns on them that light up the footpaths and internal roadways of Sefton Park in Liverpool.
They have been modified at some point with Philips QL induction lamps and gear.
The lamp is very distinctive and I found a vandalised one that had a smashed lamp with the internal aerial clearly visibly.

Those Philips QL induction lamps were rated for something silly like 100,000 hours. I bet most LED COB shit things don't get past 10k!

I must admit I was quite surprised to see these as this must have been a quite expensive option to refit them all! I’d have just used 70w CMH on a SON choke!
