Crompton Vidor DT996

Nice little find at a stall selling random bits and pieces at a convention I was at...aside from a small crack in the top area lantern it seems to be in really good order. New 4R25 battery has it working like new. Doesn't even flicker when moved like a lot of incandescent lanterns I've had do. The stippled reflector makes for a surprisingly smooth beam too.

I'll probably gut the original battery to allow alkaline D cells to be used in future.
