Just had more LED done here on the main road. That image above shows exactly what has happened after LED. White light, very directional, no light "spill" which hardly anyone ever complained about anyway (councils say light spill is bad but it if means it lights up my garden for free then no it's good).. Up the street here, there are cars outside of peoples houses and they were all lit up before and now they are very dull. They randomly left the odd one like in your image and I think either they didn't have another box or the lantern was stuck on it.

I think this is some form of secret in the street lighting engineering code? As this isn’t by far the first time I’ve seen it done!, why leave a single column in a sea of LED?, it’s not like they couldn’t access it, and there’s Uni-Streets either side of this one, so it wasn’t accidentally missed!, I guess it’s a classified piece of information that only street lighting engineers get to know!

Could be just sized on, incorrect diameter, etc?

I think it didn't appear in some drawing, so was not specified in the job

We’re having this discussion on LG at the minute, I have to agree with monkeyface and ash though, it’s more possible it’s not actually listed on the maps, so wasn’t specified in the order?

There is the odd one here that is missed off.
