Be interesting to see one lit next to a 6500 and 4000 k lamp

Yes, these do look interesting. I bet a 6500k tube looks like an 830 next to these! Can't imagine it would be nice to work under this colour though, it would be like being in a tropical aquarium.

Some of those - made by Osram in Russia - have arrived here in Israel some ~8 years ago and were largely sold as "White" to unsuspecting customers by unknowledgable sellers. (I had to convince one myself that its not a normal tube by putting one into a twin luminaire in his shop). The sleeves were printed in Turkish and Arabic so they must have been made for sale in some other Mid East country, then ended up here. (We normally get the European ones with the English sleeves)

The normal tube sold here (if you just go in a random shop and ask for "18W/36W tube" is /765. Triphosphors are available but less common and not stocked in most small shops, and other Halo colors are not available (or 25+ years NOS)

So the 765/12000 mix was quite common here in some places over the last few years, mostly in the 4x18 mods. The 765 looks maybe 6000 when they are together, the 12000 is obviously the odd one

I've just found out the Philips version of this colour is called 'snow white' lol (serious- look it up)

In the photo the Maxin looks halophosphate (lacking red) and the Sylvania looks triphosphor.

This can be checked under a blacklight
