Yes LED has its place. Good for decorative stuff, properly designed car headlights and the best thing to happen to torches/flashlights.

I've got a tiny Nitecore torch that takes 1 18650 and I can't believe how bright it is... It's brighter than that 75w HID torch that I was playing with a while ago!
