Thorn 1000w CSI PAR64: Outside test.
|
Aiming the Thorn 1000w Compact source iodide PAR64 lamp in a Thorn OQ1000 fitting out of my bedroom window.
Heh, it's quite bright! Maybe I should try this on a different night as there was a hell of a lot of light being reflected back by the moisture in the air!!!
Those trees in the distance which are about 600m away and the whole field in between are being illuminated quite nicely!
The moisture in the air makes it quite hard to see on camera just how well lit up they are! Trust me, they are lit up really well!
You can't see it but behind the big tree on the right, the field has flooded a bit after all the heavy rail we've had lately and there must be some ducks there as they started quacking when I was taking these photos. It also attracted some really impressively sized moths which were immediately killed as they got close and flew into the beam!
You can see why they loved these for lighting up football stadiums and big monuments ect which had to have the lights mounted quite far away!
