Incandescent Hanging on in the USA

Interesting to compare things to back home. Mercury is by and large gone it seems around East Lansing, usually replaced by LED fittings. SON still seems to be holding its own well enough in industrial settings.

In domestic settings though it seems that incandescent lamps are still very common. About 70% of the lamps in the house we're staying in are still incandescent with a handful of CFLs in heavily used areas. That seems to be similar in the homes of most folks we've visited this week.
