The mind boggles…. SO while working at one of the fire stations on an unrelated job I noticed that one of the others had been here and changed the tubes in one of the weather packs to some bollocks LED tubes… BUT weirdly one was brighter than the other I just thought “what shite like” then a little bit later I noticed they were flashing I’m now thinking wtf so opened it up and came across this shite who can guess the wiring. Just for the record I removed the fusion branded led tubes, skipped them and fitted a new ballast and Philips tubes.

I thought only T5 LED tubes were compatible with HF gear?, I’ve got some LED 2D ECG lamps in my stock at work for existing HF gear only their a weird set up inside, the pins are just jointed out and have a resistor on each side.

Philips do offer a T8 LED tube that'll work on HF gear, but it;s special order only, no-one stocks it and it;s so expensive you just wouldn't bother.

Lol yeh and as the LED tubes put power down the other end the ballast was humming and making weird sounds even though it didn’t have power in the AC end
