Quality control?

Either I've missed something, or the quality control on these Shite Source© is abysmal (and has caused me a lot of issues at work).

The problem: some have the link on the non-input end, some do not, with no rhyme or reason for it that I can fathom. The ones pictures are different batches and part numbers and neither have the link.

Without the link, these tubes do not work unless the fitting is rewired with L & N at one end only (which is never the correct way to wire an LED only fitting anyway). Anyone have any ideas? Or are these just garbage?
