Home-Built Light Thing
I have a small fishpond in the yard & wanted to have lights over it...this is one of them (really just a wood-thing, not even a real fitting LOL) This one has a 40w 5-foot T8, the other 2 (not shown) are shorter & have 32w 4-foot T8.

I used to have these on a timer and they'd run for a couple hours every evening. This spring the timer got replaced with a remote-control unit, With that setup I only used the lights on a limited number of evenings.

Ofcourse now being November and getting cold at night and all that, the water has cooled off enough that the fish won't need feeding til spring (they go in a close-to hibernation state for winter)
