these are the original chokes out of those cast iron coal board 4 watt tube fittings, had these since 1991. All rated at 115 volts, all have green Wotan starters, and a Bocsh MP capacitor. Recon these chokes date from1969 to 1970 period. Good quality chokes, very quiet running, dont get hot, will last forever i recon. The red singles cables coming out the chokes is also rubber, but its perfect condition

yes, thanks, how old you recon the wotan starters are? never seen ones like this before, i recon 80's, dont think they are the original ones as they would have been BLI ones

Bloody hell that some old BLI chokes. Never seen those before. But I do have some Thorn 4 to 8 watt chokes for 115 volts.

Great ballasts, I have one myself that was from a 1960s sign light and is now used in a home brew fitting.

Ha, never even noticed that to be honest, well they have been ok for over 20 years, they are on wood, all fused, not really worried as they are 110 volt

My ballast has two holes on one end where a start holder was mounted with self tapping screws and the other end a 3 way terminal block for live, neutral and the choke output.
