3500w of IODE 500, 1000 and 2000w Philips IODE lamps all burning at full power. Was quite hot and bright but only about 84,000lm which is pathetic compared with HID! Was actually pulling about 3600w when fed 240v from the variac which was kicking out 15 amps.

3500W of halogen is more than a space heater. My Philips ML 160W and my Osram HWL 160W, heating me mainly from the 365nm UVA mercury line and not from IR.

This wasn't as bad as that big 5kW halogen lamp that I fired up a while ago but it was close!
