Here's a shot showing the height of the theatre and how the fittings sit in service. Amazing what is still out there in use!

Have offered to help Davy one day soon convert these to CDO-TT using the gear from those old projector spot lights that I saved from the Audi garage! Magnetic gear would be good all around really. Good use of the second hand gear and keeping these old lights going as these lamps if not already obsolete must be on the verge of, aswell as halfing the electricity used!

We all know what will happen if you don't Kev, someone will come along and want to rip them out and replace them with LED!

Yep flat led panel fits all! Rolling Eyes

awsome cinema, if its a private owned indepenent cinema, they may have a person who maintains these with a stock of tungstens, if its not a chain owned cinema they will not be told what to do, so may well keep these for ever more, seen it happen in the past

kev, they will be tungsten for a reason, and thats so they can dim them up and down as they are the cinema 'house lights' you carnt dim a metal halide lamp
versalift09   [09 Nov, 2015 at 09:11 PM]
No these are no longer on a dimmer. They have no spare lamps left as I was talking to the theatre manager
lampy   [09 Nov, 2015 at 09:13 PM]
I have spare large tungstens, how many does he need? dont convert them, that would ruin them
AngryHorse   [10 Nov, 2015 at 11:34 PM]
Halides will be an ideal conversion Cool
Kev   [10 Nov, 2015 at 11:41 PM]
I dunno Phil these are a special lamp short neck 300W GLS they have no spare lamps and sadly if we don't convert them they will be replaced with something else. At least if we converted them to 150W metal halide the lights would live on.
