TCP T9 40w cool white
I hope these are better than the homebase TCP T12's. They are not shielded. Recently bought 2x 40w circular fittings to stick in my hallway, plan to save the vintage banded Philips & Osram tubes to the collection & see how these do.

Isn't TCP an American brand?

These should be OK. Theyre bell made

Do Homebase still sell these? The TCP T8's seemed reasonable too.

That is great to hear the TCP T12's were not great. our local Homebase closed years ago, when I got Russian 18w Osram's for 50p a piece (they were lumilux interna (827) so not everyone's cup of tea

I remember that Homebase sale around 2019 time got a load of Osram in 840 and 827 - thought they'd be finished with fluorescent after that sale but TCP was stocked then

These do have their use for saving vintage circline tubes but then again Chinese made tubes always do have some surprises such as surpassing our expectations

I snagged a few of these, while the general construction and cathode electrical specfication spec seemed pretty good, and indeed I confirmed by my spectrometer they are 840 Triphosphor, I have to say I found the colour of the example I tested to be a bit naff, somewhat green tinted, kinda spoiled an otherwise decent-all-things-considered tube, I did a technical upload of these on LG if your curious about the nitty-gritty Smile
