Got like a couple 15W PL E-T Pro CFLS but in the light green packaging Smile however I had trouble getting it to connect due to the plastic bases - had to hold it down with my hand to make it work Neutral

Ahh that's annoying, that may be the reason why these plastic bases were only used for a few years. I've never had a problem getting them to work but sometimes they don't want to go in the lampholder... Confused

I know, I was so thrilled when I got a couple of them last year and only to find out that they didn't work unless you had to push them down so the metal pins would come into contact. Whilst it is cool to appreciate, I'm glad the plastic bases went out of fashion - this goes to show that overuse of plastic is such a terrible idea. You see smartphones and laptops now moving away from use of plastic. If only CFL wasn't being phased out we would see them with metallic housing
