I have some 13 watt 6500s branded Eluminate, I also have them in use at work, and the one thing you have to admire with today’s SMT lamps is the plastic domes they’re fitting to them today , you just have to look at the upward light on the ceiling in this photo!, that was unheard of when these first came out and one of the main concerns that was highlighted on lighting forums at the time. I don’t know what kind of plastic they use, but to ‘bend’ the light from surface mounted diodes and distribute it like a GLS lamp is a milestone in itself!

The beam angle of this lamp is 200*, which is enough to light the ceiling, but not to be used in globe lanterns and similar.
