An excellent first SL too, not so common to see the decor ones

I think these look great on their own in a pendant light.

@Beta 5: I was thrilled when I first saw it at the car boot sale nearly 7 years ago the only thing is that I wish it had a B22 base but suppose with many desk lights coming with E27 sockets I'd say it is a great find @Oliver: Yep it would look fab in a modern/hipster looking pendant light that takes E27 lamps

Yeah same when i got my first 18W SL prismatic's, they are E27 too and while B22 would be more convenient they are still lovely lamps The one benefit of E27 is they are more secure than B22 with SL's but it does make it harder to run them in a lot of fittings since we mostly use B22. As Oliver said definitely a smart lamp in it's own right, and wouldn't look out of place on show or hanigng bare in a nice pendant

@Beta 5: Yep I totally agree, I'd be a bit cautious myself with using one of the SL CFLS on a ceiling rose pendant with B22 base especially how they made of plastic but i suppose the old school pendant/ceiling rose B22 lights are sturdy enough for them as I've seen one in commercial use at an arts centre in High Wycombe
