A good score for 50p! I think this is a plastic covered version of the BH.10. Looks like with a little polish up the cover will come up well as will the grey paint on the base.

Thanks and yes some polish would do the trick Smile inside was a Crompton fumed silica 100W bulb that had the old style etch with the C being the square bracket design

Yeah it is amazing the difference that a good polish up can make to some of the old fittings. Nice that it contains an old Crompton too, I wonder if it's an Australian made one?
