Finally gave up!
So when I installed my SOX back in May, I first put in the most heavily used lamp from Dan’s kind supply, you can see from how heavy the red is in the start how used the lamp was!, well it gave in last night, producing a very faint cathode glow, although as I touched the lamp to remove it, it flickered into life!, (It was dark and getting on for 7:30 at night before I noticed)!, I relamped it anyhow as if it won’t start on its own on autoleaks, it’s time to replace it! It’s now running a 2011 dated SOX Plus!

Wow yeah that went a very deep red! Do you have a photo anywhere of what the lamp looked like when fitted?

Looks like the argon in the lamp has been cleaned up.
