DIY 175w M57/H39 Control Gearbox for 240v 50hz: Internals. Control gearbox for 1 x 175w mercury or metal halide lamp. Nice big chunky CWA ballast. All exposed metalwork earthed, bootlace ferrules, crimped & soldered spade and ring terminals, tri-rated cable... all the usual refinements. Also handy for running 200w SLI/H Linear low pressure sodium lamps!

very nice to the the 50hz variety. I have an american one which i use. it seems to take the 10hz less quite well

I dug this out to play with that SLI 175 MH lamp. She's a bit of a hummer this one!

Nice work! You always do a great job with making these gear boxes. I wouldn’t know where to start with making up one if these.
