Let it run for a good few hours and then see if it the drops amalgamate together and drip down to the bottom.

Very excessive
, I’ve got some elliptical clear Ventures in 4000K, 150 watt, and these have hardly any halide dose in at all!, it’s a wonder they produce any colour!, but they all do
|

The halide dose tends to expand when the lamp warms up and it melts.
|

Well I've had plenty of lamps with halides like this on the sidewall, and most of the time after a few good hours of running it all settles to the bottom.
