this fitting was not made available to the general public, its a special order to the Govenment, it has a military order code sticker in it, its 65 watt SRS to which no such fitting was listed, it should have had grey sides in this year too, as the grey fittings lasted till 1972.

This looks in pretty good nick really considering. The fitting looks in better shape than the reflector they always seem to rust. I wonder how restoreable it is?

think is was a case that they liked white fittings, and not grey. As they were a large customer with clout, i guess they got what they wanted, also SRS as in the 1969 BLI book i have, they don not list a 5 foot 65 watt SRS fitting in pop pack.

They have white sided atlas PPs at one of the schools I do in 8' not 5' though
