2022 Aura Crystal-TL LL 70W/942 Twinarc CMH --Well meant, is not well done--
Here you can see a fairly late 2022 twinarc CMH lamp sold by Aura Sweden. The Idea is fairly simple, two arc tubes=Twice the lamp life. The life is claimed to be 43.000hrs up to 50% failure rate.
In my opinion however, especially this lamp is well meant however not well executed.
1) The lamp is fiscally notably longer then a standard CMH lamps which may be a problem in tight fittings
2) The arc tubes are off center to any common optic which is engineered for a single arc tube
3) The failure mechanism of CMH lamps is a leaking arc tube which will lead to severe blackening of the outer envelope
4) Immediate hot restrique is not possible as the second arc tube is so close to the operating that it gets to warm

The lamp does not state were it was made. It can be either be made by Narva in Berlin or sourced from China...

Interesting lamp, especially in this format but as you say perhaps not the best design in practice for those reasons stated. Good lamp for collectors however! Cool

That’s a shame. I contacted aura lamps recently about trying to get some 8W sent to the UK but nothing.
