Philips 250w SON-T Comfort Pro (SON Deluxe)

1 x Philips 250w tubular clear deluxe high pressure sodium lamp with greatly increased CRI and slightly cooler CCT.

These lamps give off a lively warm glow and have colour rendering comparable to some fluorescent lamps!
You can't see it in this image but there is an ignition aid printed onto the arc tube.

We've still got a few in our stores, and at least one street I know the inventory specifies SON-Cmft rather than the usual SNT lamps. But I think we stopped using them around the time we changed to electronic dimming ballasts.

Thats bad, those look like a decent high end lamp option that is great for some places. Wonder if it would be possible to achieve atleast some of the CRI increase with a normal SON lamp by little overdriving it without affecting the lamp life too much ?
