In some of the latest and greatest corns (made in China, not up to standards here, but getting smuggled in anyway from "Palestine"), they actually managed to reduce the shock hazard... Not by any proper insulation, just the soldering pads are reduced in size and now are mostly obstructed by the LED body. Otherwise still just as live if you manage to push hard enough so your finger skin pushes into the corner between the PCB and LED, or is a little wet

I miss those CFL LEDs tho. At least they are more interesting than the perfect snow cones of nowadays, and infact have better chance to last longer because of the large surface area and lower power density of old LEDs

I have to say I'd still take a CFL of similar cheapness to this than LED, at least you may get some interesting wear and EOL on a CFL!

This was driver failure. Now gone in the b&q lamp bin and fished out a 3U Philips 20w 827 that's new Wink
