An odd combo: Fluorescent battens and GLS lamps
Spotted in the stairwell of a department store in the central York. Every fluorescent batten had a GLS lamp postitioned immediately above it, which I can only assume is the remains of an old disused (or active, who knows?) emergency lighting system. In that case, the GLS lamps are probably 25v-50v rated.

I love that setup in fact I would add a celing rose B22 fixture nearer to the window of my bedroom where the fluorescent 36W fixture is at and then have a 2 gang switch Cool

This used to be a prety standard setup, even with most fitting having the gas or halogen lamp integrated. I remember scrapping some 150W HQI-TS fittings that had an bc cap to run a small halolux ceram lamp as energy lighting
