Wonder why the top one has the caps around the foil bits? Lower volts higher amps maybe they did this because of failures like I'm getting in the radium HRI-TS lamps. This is a nice oldie!

i think it's to try and raise the temperature in order to lesson the attack by bromide. Not sure why only the 120v lamp has it though!

Whoa these are awesome! I've only ever seen these in an article on the Lamptech website
