Cool well surprised to see these still in use! Mind you suppose if they are generating there own electric onboard it doesn't matter

The ship can generate 63.4 MW at maximum output and the two motors that drive the proppellors consume 16.7 MW each!

If you think that is impressive, the liner RMS Queen Mary 2 can do 117 MW!!! That thing has 4 massive diesels and also 2 gas turbines!

Don't think there are any steam turbo-electric ships still going tbh. All diesel or gas turbines now. Stuff like this will never be HID, in an emergency you want instant light output and you don't want a potentially unstable electrical system causing HID to extinguish when your trying to evacuate!
