Philips 8-Foot 110w HO
A pair of Philips high-output 110w 8-foot lamps...
One with the RDC endcap-thingie removed, revealing its standard medium bi-pin endcap.

Paid a whole 75 cents each for these LOL

That dirt cheap Very Happy normally there like 15 buck for a two pack at Home depot. Did u try 5.5 uF cap yet Jay on your 125 watt ballast?

Would be interesting to see how these would run on UK 100/125w gear.

Shame we can't get these over here. Even an Alto is better than nothing. Smile

According to the specs these are 8800lm so roughly between our 100w halophoshor (8200lm) and triphosphor (9300lm).

couple points ill point out heh is GE SLI and Philips do or did offer export versions in the EU. these are 800Ma lamps (a F125T12 is 940ma) I have a 240V 50Hz 110W HO Rapid start ballast it uses the classic leading arrangement but with a cathode heating transformer as well (it uses a 6.8Uf cap instead of a 7.2Uf one used in 125w setups). a 110W HO lamp will run fine on 125W gear (the slight over drive wont have a massive effect on tube life) for a 100W Fitting the US equivlent is the 95W 8ft HO energy saver tube

FSB yes it will work fine on the 8 foot pop pack. U need to change the cap a next size down as this is a 800 mA tube , while 125 watt runs around 940mA. How ever I had to tune mine for USA 60 hz as as current way over 1 amp on 7.2 uF cap, i expermented as i ran out of Kino flo tubes 125 watt tube. I had no choice to run american HO on them. I had to use 5.5 uF cap on it 125 watt gear.

Yep, that is cheap...I bought 4, but it was tempting to grab the whole nearly-full case of them LOL
I haven't yet tested these since my 2x8' HO fitting is in a spot where its hard to get to right now.
I've got a couple 5uf cap's sitting around so I plan to try one of those with the 125w ballast (actually I might just use that to test with Smile since its easy to get at)
