Let us know the outcome

Seen this myself in pretty good condition! Davy fixing this is a must!
MBF all the way, top job!
Did you ever fix this Davy?
Yes i did go to this one 2 years ago! It needed a new 80w lamp and bowl. It's been fitted with a SS54 2part cell years back. Sadly it is unlit again which could be the cell, and redevelopment is on the horizon

Very nice

Can you still get 2 part rubber eyes and P42E or SS55 relays
If you can, probably not worth bothering with, the latter ones changed from black rubber to white and the white rubber tended to degrade very quickly in the UV from the sun. Seen those only a few years old and dissolving. On the other hand, have older black ones that have to be at least 50yrs old and good as the day they were made.

P42 Thermals were still available about 10 years back or so, not sure about now, the last relays were yellow, the best ones were the early 1970's versions they either work or dayburn if the heater pad wire comes off its solder pad
They are extremely hard to solder back on to the pad too ive found
In what way?
