Yes, these are the decent ones from Wickes, in ally and glass, and the white ones, (the same as white blinders), don`t seem to suffer from the powder coat coming off like the black ones.

They suffer less that's for sure

SON-Ts go in lovely in these, with a half inch to spare, what I like about these Wickes coach lights, they have proper ceramic ES lampholders in, and their heat sleeved from the factory, so no mod is needed.

This is the best set up I`m going to get now, I love 50watt SON, I love the style of these lanterns, and have loads of spare gear and lamps!, I`ve vowed that this is the LAST ever mod my garden lights are getting!

I really love 50W SON I do agree with your statement maybe an electronic ballast if you want to make it cheaper to run
