A one off, very unusual!

If you light it and then quickly dim it (use a variac or bring a small ballast in series) to remove the glare of the filament, you will see a special effect. The mercury discharge then generates much more UV and the bulb will fluoresce in pink from the vanadate + aerosil coating. Its not often you can see an arc tube operating through the fluorescing coating!

Already did that once James quite Nice indeed (shortly after we last met I saved up and got a Brand new 10A Variac i say shortly in that saving up started then but took a good year or so to gather the funds to buy it! was expensive) once the House bashers are done ill light it and grab some pictures (I even can do a 120FPS(maybe 240FPS) slow mo video of it striking up if anyone is interested)
