That's a nice spread of light the optics look as good as my street fighter

They are, although their pretty basic!, but it lights the back door area well, and where it starts to fall off in the middle of the garden, the 50watts take over.

No, I don`t have any!, infact I`ve never had SON in 100watt, halides yes, but no SON

Not yet, I do have 70watt halides for it, but I`ve not had much luck with `voltage sensitive` halides outside before, first bit of stormy wind we get here, our voltage goes to bits!

Dare I say it... try an electronic ballast for a while? Smile Can pick them up for peanuts on ebay and it should be more tolerant of voltage fluctuations.
