Sorry to report that the LED beats the T12 for brightness and CRI.

T12 probably wins in terms of lamp life but since that is a Sylvania T12 probably not!

840 be much better led tube only outshines it cos its directional. A reflector tube would piss on it

The halophosphate t12 is the only fluorescent that's really more inefficient than current leds, but even so its only a small amount, hence this comparison doesn't surprise me one bit. however yes, I fully expect an 840 t8 to outshine this even though it isnt directional.

I'd expect the LED tube to outshine the halo tube but a decent Philips 840 T12 would beat the LED and most certainly out live it.
