I Tested one of these on 24/7 a while back, with it being the EL version, i expected it to be slightly better than the standard & last possibly double but no it only lasted 5 months!

Haa garbage. So 'EL' is 'Extra Life' ???

Well could be ive always been told that the EL was Emergency Lighting. As far as im aware certain manufacturers especially these and the chinese GE do a specfill version which youve probably heard of and i understand that the Sylvanias with EL on them are simply that. Designed with tougher cathodes "in some cases" designed to withstand the DC. As most on here know i am running a pair of GE Chinese versions the GE specfill 8W/840s 24/7 in a road sign light around the corner and on the 19th may if they are still going theyd of clocked up an impressive 4 years of 24/7. So this proves that GEs version is exactly what they are meant to be. As the standard GE you be lucky to see a year out of in most cases

I guess 'EL' = 'Emergency Lighting' would make more sense. 4 years at 24/7 would be impressive, 35,040 hours!

Oh yes. Ohhh yes Smile so far theyvd outlasted anything ive ever ever tested including the big boy brands!! The specfills have outlasted them by a merry mile
