Thorn EMI 1000W MBF/U kolorlux Mercury Lamp

Managed to bag this big beast of a beauty for Â£13.50 inc shipping off of ebay :) seller did a good job packing it too. as the Box has Thorn EMI on it, a Date code of 25 translates to January 1984, the same Year/Month the Macintosh launched :) shown next to a regular lamp for a size comparison

indeed he must of have loads, he listed a Lot of 8 of these things at some point, that someone bought (you can see it in the sellers feedback) and he just put another one up for sale todayish! Smile
