LOL, sorry mate, no puke icon!, these are not bad lamps really, (and they came for free), I have one in the Astra now, still looks as bright as when I fitted it 19 months ago.

I'd like to try an Edison / venture out at some point but when the CED fails. I haven't been up at my lantern on the front for a month!!! That's the longest since kev put it up!

LOL your doing well!, yeah these have to `run in` for a couple of nights, when I was given them, I tested them all and they seemed a bit dim to begin with!, but at the end of the first week in the Astra, they were much brighter than they were on the test rig, lamp volts are still where they should be, they start well and re-strike well and their a decent colour, not too far off a Philips PIA master.

Yeah that's what my CED is like. It seems to take an age to get to ful power like 5 -7 minutes or something. Then when it is at full power it seems a deeper colour than a normal son lamp but I will leave it in! Next I think I'll put that SW Clarke one in

I kind of want to put a halide in the Astra, but these things won`t die! Laughing , I installed one of these in it on the 3rd of Feb 2014, and its not even showing signs of voltage rise yet!, runs perfect!

We was getting around 5-6 year out of these standard Ventures but only 3-5 out of the HO versions Confused

I couldn’t help noticed though that these seemed slightly ‘under run’?, never got round to putting one next to a Philips or something?, I dunno, they seemed duller when in service than the Philips elliptical I had on the front??

They seem to need running in for a few days
