I had a festoon up for christmas last year, i dont think ill be putting it back up this year though
Why not Danny? I think they look nice
Lamps kept blowing, wind battered it, and leccy was double lol
not good then, I'm not really a fan of LED but they may be more hard wearing & wouldn't be as expensive to run.
I use GLS festoons for christmas but down side is there a bit of an expense to run
Yes, I have a set of 20 so even with 15 watt lamps the total = 300 watts, it all adds up!
Im thinking of maybe getting some coloured LED filament lamps for them this year i wouldnt usually entertain LED but if i want them up im going to have to i think
Just looked online at prices of the lamps. £65 for 20 . I think it might actually be cheaper in the lomg run to run them gls!
Not cheap Danny, I got a few cheap chinese imported coloured LED lamps just to see what they were like, I payed less than £1 each with free postage.
Where were they from ?
Got them from eBay, ok for the money, would be good for festoons.
