How A XmasLightGuy Does Christmas (part 1)
A series of pics to show some of how a XmasLightGuy does Christmas .lol.

The 2 larger 'boxes' are SSR (solid state relay) to convert low-voltage signals to control for mains power.
Each does 8-channels. The little screen inside is just a volt/amp/watt/kilowatt-hour meter (something extra I added)
The small 'box' is a 120v SSR.. the main SSR units can handle 12a total per box (and you wouldn't really want to put that much on them). Here it is for 1 of those channels with a heavier load (up to 12a total) kept as a separate thing -and- putting it on a separate breaker.

Wow and that a good switching size load too. What do u use to control the SSR?
XmasLightGuy   [13 Dec, 2017 at 02:28 AM]
@Funkybulb: Controller is a 'Renard Plus 32' (that is in turn controlled by a Raspberry Pi)

@Funkybulb: Yep! pretty neat little setup Smile
I did do some recording...its sitting in the camera right now, but I changed a few things after recording, so might re-do it.
