GEC 15w White BNOS [07/1963?]

One of the first tubes I acquired that kick started this bug was this rather nice little 15w GEC. Didn't actually realise how old it was as no-one ever dated it, just checked and it comes out as July 1963 if correct, from the OSRAM-GEC date code sheet here.

I'll dig this out ASAP and A: run it up for a few hours and B: take a better picture!

That GEC lettering was a thing of pure quality back in the day, what a shame we lost Shaw Sad

These were just amazing tubes. Anyone ever used GEC tubes? If so how long do they last? Depending on running hours

GEC tubes were pure quality! Apart from the traditional loose end the lifespan of the lamp was superb.

One of the churches I look after has a load of GEC 36w warm whites in it, they've done YEARS!!! And this place has halls and stuff and is hired out every evening, so they also get a ton of use. Seem to match Philips in terms of lamp life!
