Old 6-Lamp F40 Troffer

Not mine.

Around a week ago I stopped in a lighting store that was going out of business just to see what they had left.

What really caught my eye most was not any of the lights for sale, but what was on the ceiling...

These old 6-lamp F40 Troffers! The majority of them had only at most 2 lamps working (quite a few none at all, andonly a couple had all 6. (and for some reason 2 had been converted to T8 with only 3 lamps)...A pretty sad state of dis-repair overall (which may have been done purposely)

The pic looks weird because it was taken with a phone(and we all know that cheap cameras are useless for magnetic-ballasted lights) Lamps are cool-white/4100k & all 6 were running proper brightness. :)

No idea on age of these or anything else, but the building was built in the 1920's. Its (these likely won't be around much longer though as the building has been sold)
