Is there no way you can gently try and tap it out with a rubber mallet or something ?

Shame about the dent, but it is otherwise a rather nice classic fitting.

It would of course be better if it didn't have it but its not that bad. You could perhaps use a vice with blocks of wood to flatten it out.

It is worse than it looks in the picture, I don't think I'd ever get the corner right again but I will give it a go

It’s in a bit of a shit place you may not get it perfect by I reckon a lot better!

The trough Atlantic 3 I got from the Ever Ready site had a dent just like this in the side, infact probably in the same place as when we hacked it down with a sprinkler pipe it landed on its back on a pile of bricks. I just repainted it as it was and installed it you wouldn’t know it was there
