Looks nice and neat

Epic you just simply can not beat SON for this kind of install. You could never achieve this with led imagine how cold and uninviting the place would be with LED flood lights in their purple / blue colour!
SON always works well for this, or, for a cooler colour, MBF is my choice of lamp. I lit the exterior of a local church with 80w MBF floods in 1999, most are still on their original lamps, tho not as bright as they used to be. LED won't even manage 1/4 of that time before it fails!

Tell you what I`m seeing a lot of in Cheshire just lately, GU10 LED downlights mounted in the soffit boards on the under eaves, looks well nice too!, one of our local builders had done it to his house at the bottom of our road, using daylight white GU10s

Doing just that for a customer tomorrow!
Cool, you just got to do some night shots, (if the customer OKs it of course)
Customer will be fine I'm sure. I'll do the shots once the other lighting works are done and the driveway finished as well! I've got to move 2x downpipes to do this, as they come down the front and need to re-locate to side!

Looks ok as long as it's warm white. IMO it looks complete shit otherwise and a house near me has blue ones... blue for fucks sake! Looks utter horiffic!

How about 35w CDMR downlights in the soffit! Phwoarsome

Cool white tends to wash out the colour of brick or stonework. Blue would look good if it was a brothel lol! I did consider fitting some warm white metal halide lamps in these Sonpak's, but as they've just spent £40k on new windows (grade II listed) have no money lol

Downlights I'll be using are warm white, so should look good. Done a few places like that before.

Been tempted to use 20w CDMR MR16 on the outside of our front porch tbh
