1000W Philips US M47 Metal halide lamp lit.
having acquired this lamp many years ago while on holiday in Israel, I finally found the Proper Ballast for this lamp which works on 240V 50Hz which has enabled me to run the lamp up properly to full power without the need for the very complicated setup that I had posted about before :) (in subsequent run ups I moved the LCD monitor out of the way as it was getting alarmingly warm!)

Thanks Kev Smile indeed its quite warm even in real life its meant to have a colour temp of about 4200K but its much warmer then that, I suspect this lamp may of been a bit overdosed with metal halides. sadly I cant make it to the meet as I have no mode of transportation and I dont think anyone is swinging by London... Sad

if you think this is bright Danny I have an even brighter bastard im about to upload Smile
