Those are bloody lovely! Well saved. My first (and so far only) BC tube was grabbed from the recycling bin at the tip too.

Thanks all. I was quite shocked to see them, and then almost immediately pull out a 30w T12 straight after! It's not a nickel cap, its corroded, should polish up though

I can understand someone chucking standard bi-pin tubes away, the vast majority won't know what's special and what isn't. Surely with a bayonet cap tube though someone would think 'that's unusual, I'll put it for sale and see if anyone's interested'

Tested these now, both working fine and they were indeed unused
