Gama-sonic 'Jerican' Twin tube rechargable lantern
I have lost count of how many fluorescent torches I now have and don't generally post unless there is something a bit special about a particular model. There are several things that make this one worthy of note, the most obvious being that it is twin tube with the option to run on one tube only to extend the battery life. The battery is a sealed lead acid battery with an internal mains charger, powered by a lead stored in a compartment with a two pin shaver style plug. It can also serve as an emergency light, powering the tubes when disconnected from the mains. The electronics are all old school using a conventional power supply consisting of a transformer and rectifier bridge, all using discrete components, no integrated circuits. Probably early 90s
