Theres car park full of Holophane Somerset (I believe has something to do with the Open University) and those seem to all be original lamps same as these in 250w, I have few in my collection i kept from a relamp and there’s still some in use as there burning pink

The old Lucalox were one of the best lamps you could get at the time, really stunnung quality in every aspect. In USA with transforner ballasts they would live even longer than on our typical choke ballasts. They are quite rare in this tubular bulb, normally GE had a narrow ellipsoidal bulb for this rating. Nice find!

There are Old Lucalox in States still burning today. GE 1982 M400R2 street lantern with orginal lamps until led took over, i missed good ole mercury warm up phase of American son lamps
