Ring D2R 35w HID Headlight Bulbs

Here you see a Ring (ALITE) 35w D2R automotive headlight bulb, just received today. Worryingly the packets have been opened and the arc tube isn't perfectly clean, but I think this may be simply due to testing from the factory? Does anyone know if this is normal or have I been scammed?

Specs: 35w, operating voltage 85v, 4100K, 3200 lumens, 3000 hours life

Dunno, just look alike a normal halide dose...

After doing a spot of research I think the arc tube is normal, even though the Osram lamps I originally bought were crystal clear. I've found a couple of other actual pictures of these Ring lamps and they are also the same.

Also, these are branded ALITE, which is what Ring automotive long life lamps are usually branded. I very much doubt these have been somehow previously used but ended up back in the correct packaging!?

Anyway, I'll be fitting them later today (bumper off & headlights out job!) so watch this space...

Yeah, to get to the headlights on the motorbike, you have to basically take the whole front end off lol.

PITA isn't it? These headlights are really hard to work on, even with the headlight out and on the bench, the igniter housing that these bulbs fit into is very tricky to get out, you have to bend the clip out of the way and if you're not careful it's easy to break the bulbs against the reflection tube that they sit within. Anyway I've got them fitted today, working fine and very bright. They were less than half the price of Osram's, hopefully they won't last less than half the hours!
