Vintage Vesta christmas lights
We had a set like this in the 70s-early 80s when I was a kid only ours were the more usual 20 set and had clear wiring rather than white. I always thought they looked a bit like miniturised versions of incandescent lights used in factories and that were used in my primary school the during the first few weeks of me starting before they were replaced with pop packs and crom packs. Have never seen a 25 set before, the box says they take 10v lamps instead of the more usual 12v lamps, though they do of course work fine with 12v lamps. An ebay win, needed some work to get them working. Working christmas lights seem to go for silly money on Ebay.

Woolies had a great lighting and christmas decorations department in the 80s.
